these dirty shoes
these dirty shoes sit in my kitchen.
they have seen quite a bit.
mud
dirt
grass
chalk.
they are used
abused
well-worn
and well-loved
is your life full of dirt?
do you need someone to pick you up?
brush the dirt off?
tell you that even though you have been
used
abused
well-worn
you
are well-loved?
Guess what? Someone already has.

I thought of my well-worn, well-loved pair of shoes that no one else may see why.. but only me.
This is beautiful to remember we are loved no matter how much dirt… We need those reminders!
